1. Time change Sunday: A reminder that most U.S. states spring forward to Daylight Savings Time Sunday. So, all market reports and announcement times noted below are CDT unless otherwise noted.
2. WASDE Tuesday: The March World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report will hit at 11 a.m. CDT, with DTN analysis and updates throughout the morning. 3. Farm Bill debate: We'll continue to monitor the proposed 2026 Farm Bill discussions. For some background on that process, see here: https://www.dtnpf.com/…
4. Drought-dodging storms: As southern areas begin fieldwork, we're tracking changes in drought conditions throughout the Corn Belt. Last week's widespread rain helped some areas, but drier areas in the southwest and southern Texas remain dry. We'll also be watching how flooding in some areas last week will influence field operations.
5. Reports due this week: Monday at 10 a.m., Grain Inspections and Survey of Consumer Expectations. Tuesday at 9 a.m., Existing Home Sales, 11 a.m. is the Cotton Ginnings and the USDA Crop Production and WASDE report. Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. we'll have Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Core CPI numbers. At 9:30 a.m. EIA's weekly petroleum report and Ethanol data. At 1 p.m. the monthly U.S. Federal Budget report. At 2 p.m. Broiler Hatchery data. Thursday at 7:30 a.m., Grain Export Sales, Initial Jobless Claims, Producer Price Index (PPI), U.S. Trade deficit January, Housing Starts and Building Permits. At 10:30 a.m., Weekly Economic Index, followed by 11 a.m. release of Tenure, Ownership and Transition of Ag Land. At 2 p.m., Slaughter Weekly report. Friday at 7:30 a.m., Q4 GDP, Personal Income and Spending, PCE Index and Core PCE, Durable-goods orders reports. At 9 a.m., Job Openings for January (JOLT) and lates Consumer Sentiment numbers. At 2 p.m., Cattle-On-Feed, Egg Production and Poultry Slaughter.
